Preamble

Artificial intelligence is transforming the way humanity learns, creates, and collaborates. With its power comes profound responsibility.
This Code of Ethics defines how Airbox Energy UG (haftungsbeschränkt) uses, deploys, and manages the use of AI systems in alignment with European and international standards of trust, transparency, and human dignity.

The main goal is to ensure that any AI technology adminstered enhances human capability — never replaces it; promotes equity — never amplifies bias; and serves society — never exploits it.

1. Lawfulness and Compliance

Airbox Energy UG (haftungsbeschränkt) ensures that all AI systems utilised comply with applicable laws, including the EU AI Act, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and sector-specific standards.
It is taken into account that, as classified by risk level (minimal, limited, high, or prohibited), AI systems have corresponding obligations of documentation, oversight, and risk management.

2. Human Oversight and Accountability

Every AI system must remain under meaningful human control. Humans are responsible for critical decisions, and AI may only assist, not replace, that judgment.

3. Transparency and Explainability

In line with the EU AI Act, documentation is maintained for traceability and auditability.

AI must treat all individuals equitably. Airbox Energy UG (haftungsbeschränkt) actively tests and mitigates any algorithmic bias and ensuring the usage of AI systems that respect diversity — cultural, linguistic, and social — ensuring fairness in both process and result.

5. Privacy and Data Protection

6. Safety and Risk Management

9. Continuous Evaluation and Improvement

Ethics is not static. Airbox Energy UG (haftungsbeaschränkt) maintains an Ethical Review Process to assess emerging technologies, user feedback, and regulatory updates. Any audits ensure ongoing alignment with the EU AI Act and evolving best practices in AI governance.

10. Commitment to Human Flourishing

The purpose of using of AI systems is to amplify human potential — fostering learning, creativity, and collaboration.
Technology must serve people and the planet, not the other way around.
